Or how about the recent Supreme Court decision to allow the government to sieze private property if they think it can be more efficiently devleoped for the good of the public (the public being corporations and private contracters that will certainly make a pretty penny off of devleopment deals). And this is while Reinquist and O'Connor are still there. I'm sorry but ummm wasnt this country based on the enlightenment ideals of "Life, Liberty, and Property." Private Property, liek the right to buy a baseball team without the threat of petty politics. (The potential sale of the 1st place Washington Nationals to a liberal group seems to have gotten some conservative congressman discussing the possible negative effects that the sale could have on the MLB's exemption from US anti trust laws. And speaking of the Supreme Court, I have to say that I was kind of impressed by Gonzales, while he probably way way too socially conservative for my tastes, I respect the guy, he gave honest answers to the questions interns posed to him and was able to admit when he did not know something.
But anyway, these are things that are actually happening, they have nothing to do with my potential political bias or whatever, they are things that are going on right now, in our country, that should have people way more outraged. Clinton would have never gotten away with half this shit and no poltical organization should be able to. And also if Bush wants his brother to have a shot at being president in '08 he should consider ratifying Kyoto so that Florida isnt washed off the map by hurricanes and flash floods that are bound to occur when the polar ice caps keep melting and the ocean levels keep rising.
In conclusion, I have way too much free time to read the news while at work.
